How We Create a Uniquely Modern Living Room

Modern living rooms are often characterized by their sleek, clean lines and minimalist design, but there are many ways to add personality and warmth to this type of space. We’re sharing some tips and ideas we use to create a modern living room that is both stylish and unique.
Select the right furniture
The style of furniture can really showcase a modern, sleek vibe to your space. Choose furniture with smooth surfaces and clean, straight lines. Look for pieces that have a minimalist design to them that include both wood and metal materials.
Mix and match textures
One way to add interest to a uniquely modern living room is to mix and match different textures. For example, you can pair a leather sofa with a plush shag area rug or add velvet throw pillows to a linen armchair.
Play with color
Although modern living rooms often feature a neutral color palette, you can add pops of color to make your space stand out. Consider incorporating bold accent pieces or a colorful piece of artwork to add some visual interest and wow factor.
Add greenery

Mix the type of frames you use. Different colors, shapes, and texture. You can have a blend of canvas art, black frames, metallic frames or even metal or wood wall art. Remember, a gallery wall doesn’t have to be monochromatic (unless that’s the look you’re going for). Be creative and have fun with it!

Modern doesn’t have to feel medicinal or look like you’re living in a spaceship (again, unless that’s the look you’re going for, wink wink). Break the rules and create something exclusive just for you.
